Marge Patzer Muffy Ratto Cheryl Patzer Juli Weaver		Cheryl Patzer, R.N., M.S. I have worked as a registered nurse for 28 years in acute health care. My positions have included: staff nurse, clinical resource nurse, and assistant nurse manager. I am currently employed as an Assistant Nurse Manager on the Transplant/Metabolic Unit at UC Davis Medical Center. I provide direct patient care and staff supervision for a 28 bed unit. I also coordinate all nursing education courses for the Transplant Unit staff. I teach a number of classes, including: Transplant Issues, Care of the Pulmonary Hypertension Patient, Care of the Patient with Diabetic Ketoacidosis, and Patient Education and Health Literacy. I have created a variety of patient education materials to meet the health literacy needs of our diverse patient population. I have created and implemented a number of quality initiatives at UC Davis Medical Center to improve the care and safety of our specialty patient populations. I have participated in coordination of the Office of State Health Planning (OSHPD) re-audit of coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) charts for California for 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 at multiple hospital sites.
